In this (somehow hypnotizing) masterwork JABRO is documenting again the multifaceted main theme of her creative lifework with the concentration on human interrelations’ reciprocations, based on her invented contradicting “CONTRAST-PAIRS”, as following: 1.) In its “ONE-DIMENSIONALITY” the artist’s “sculpture-painting” refers (among others) on the “Contrast-Pair’s” mantling of mind and soul personified in the expressionless “face-façade”, as well the self-portrait’s publicly denuded mundane/physical bust-symbol of giving and taking. This symbolic mantling of a mainly societal unwanted, thus hidden female intellect and spirit, as well the denuding of money-hungry marketers’ propaganda-symbols in view of exclusively physical and thus unjustified ballooned “pleasures” only, is one of the warning-signs of the beginning decay of Western civilisations, seemingly having surpassed the zenith of their pure moralistic-ethical Christian high-tech cultures! That means, the suppressing and degrading of women by destruction of the most essential, good working family circles (guaranteeing all nations’ progress forwards into a liveable future only) seems to be the beginning of the end-phase of the present Western World. Fatale movements like these are unveiling illogical men-societies’ one-sided vision regarding their end-in-itself understanding of females’, indeed, multifaceted gifts and talents.
In fact, women must be seen as the indispensably equal, but positive and opposite parts of men (“Contrast-Pair”) in view of the important wholeness of TWO contradistinctions in ONE. 2.) Interestingly enough, in its “TWO-DIMENSIONALITY”, JABRO’S inventive idea from the multifaceted perception of contradictory “Contrast-Pairs’” MULTI-DIMENSIONALITY is presented here by another form of oppositional two-sided contradictions regarding the topic of LIGHT and SHADOW movements! Those contradictions have been made possible through the creating of the portrait’s relief-like lively kept wisps of modelled white hair with aid of paste-like, thick white colour paint brought onto the canvas by paint-brushes and comb. Therewith, JABRO was creating her thought- after relief-like “graphical plasticity” (©) of "two dimensions", depending in their visibility on anticlimax’s light and shadow’s interplay only. 3.) Contrary to this special, hardly visible "two-dimensionality" of her relief-like "graphical plasticity", (©), JABRO drives now the attention to her own cast hands (*), within documenting their full plasticity of “THREE-DIMENSIONALITY” in contrast to the here shown one- and two-dimensionality of the artist’s “graphicpainted” self-portrait.
Therewith, the artist is confirming the figured "full plasticity" of her cast hands as the other oppositional part of her invented multifaceted theme of "Contrasts and Contrast-Pairs". (©)
(* out of two-components “liquid wood”) That means in a simplified manner: The JABRO masterwork’s spiritual message, additionally visualised in the two oppositional movements of her “parrying” and “protecting” hands, is documenting another adding of the artist’s multifaceted messages in form of a different, so called "Contrast-Pair". (©) In other words, the parrying hand must to be seen as the genuine symbol of trying to repel destructive negativism of Western World’s misogynistic and totally materialistic societies regarding the lifelong suppressed, but highly gifted artist’s recognition as such.
To present, she has been not only exploited and oppressed, but literally “left in the cold”, because of genders’ proven inequality in all things of life. The protecting hand is the symbol of MOTHER EARTH being multiplied in all the mothers on this planet as protective and supporting, hard working bearers of their countries’ future and preserver of their societies’ cultures. Unfortunately and to the proven disadvantage of human high-tech civilisations, mothers still are ungratefully exploited and unjustified without own income for doing the most important job of the world, such as: bearing and birthing, as well rising and socially educating/integrating the next generations of working and tax-paying citizens as their nations’ only future! In addition, because of the lifelong lasting situation of being an unfairly exploited, but hard working mother of three, as well an unsupported, highly gifted artist, JABRO always has been faced with the proven untruth of a falsely propagated “genders’ equality”! Unfortunately, within that unreasonable and illogical (often unconscious) hate of men towards women and mothers, as the only source of existence they have, Western World’s men-societies are on the brink to destroy themselves by not respecting women as the vital and fundamental gender they need to exist. The simplicity of those facts is just fascinating: Women and mothers are the other equal part of men for forming the essential wholeness of positive and negative oppositeness, described by JABRO as “Contrast-Pair(s)”, (©). Nonetheless, despite all the misogynistic behaviour by unwise men, mothers - as the real heroes in this world - still are allowing the specie men to parasite in their wombs from the fertilised egg’s beginning of cell-division, up to the nine-months-long embryo- and foetus stages, for giving birth afterwards to an independent life outside of their direct physical protection. Fortunately for the human race’s survival, commonly responsible and dutiful mothers are selflessly caring for their offspring’s lives from birth to maturity.
All these not rewarded duties include the mindful-caring shield of motherly love, as long as needed and asked for – and beyond! Therefore, despite all the mentioned ordeals mothers are unfairly faced during their entire lifetime, JABRO was unspeakably proud and overwhelmed thankful about The LORD’S great and unique gift having been allowed to receive naturally and easily give normal birth to three healthy, intelligent and highly gifted children! In other words:
The artist describes her three pregnancies as the most gorgeous phases in her entire life – especially in view of the matter of fact that there have been no other great times worth to live for without her treasured children.... After all, and in regard of their eighty percent inflexible and testosterone-driven DNA – as well its flexible twenty percent of character moulding, which is pliable by education and surrounding – nevertheless, there is still hope the threatening disaster of decompose will not happen, at all. However, for embanking such threats all the many insightful and future-orientated men and women are asked for working together in constructive cooperation to successfully avoid, such bad prognoses will even so happen at last. Therewith, all those much needed future-orientated men and women may will be able to secure in that positive alliance today’s and tomorrows better world! In the other case of fatal indifference and lack of concern, the “Developed World” nevertheless must be self-critically aware that the happenings of the last decades are clearly documenting it has already exceeded the given climax in every respect to be stopped right now. Indisputably, this alarming degeneration is based on misconduct of the indispensable ethic and moral, which can be provided only by the pure positive Christian belief, since from its first beginning fatefully intertwined with Western World’s most progressive culture and high-tech civilisation. In other words:
Despite church institutions’ failures, the Christian religion has had a provably positive influence on Western World’s development-process into the highest civilisation possible at present.
That means, any Christian high-tech civilisation stands and falls HOW men are treating their equal counterpart women according to The Ten Commandments. Even an atheist cannot deny their indispensable and reasonable ethic important for managing an undisturbed family- and community life, which are the principal conditions for a constructive togetherness in peace.
Such psychological very well thought out “Ten Commandments” are just still essential for each modern-civilised and progressive culture with the realistic outlook into a liveable future. Interestingly enough, “The Ten Commandments” have been created and very well thought out at the first beginning and during the last two thousand years already to a time, the scientific topic of “psychoanalysis” has not yet been discovered, such as later by the Austrian neurologist, Sigmund Freud (1856-1939). Therefore, it has to be said again and again: fatal crimes against women and children must be prevented at all costs, because cursed with most negative long term effects, in any respect. At least, those crimes are costing each year their nations billions of dollars in health-repair and compensation-fees to be more sensibly invested in youth- and senior recreation facilities, as well in scientific health programs and effective support of economy’s growth – but not at all costs…. In each way, awareness is essential, because such crimes are ruthlessly glorified by profit-hungry, irresponsible producers of worthless brutal and blood-spreading computer games. Parallel to those bloody computer games are the misuse of actors represented as totally cruel, violent bashers and sadistic murderers in, so called, “action-films” appealing only on the worst character traits especially in (young) men to be avoided at once. In repetition: New and better protecting laws for genders’ equality are needed, because mothers and their children are indisputably representing the crucial, liveable future of each of their societies and countries. In spite of JABRO’S unjustified oppressed situation in those failing, misogynistic societies, she was permanently multiple-burdened by unsupported hard working in day- and night shifts for her two, but unsalaried fulltime professions. Apart from the artist’s negative life-experiences (which she has to share with millions of other unlucky women) generally it can’t be enough warned because of the fatal and permanently rising crimes against women and children. There cannot be any tolerance in regard of Western nations’ male-dominant governments for disregarding, or non-effectively managing the mentioned problems! One is wondering what they would do in case of inverse ratio. Thus, the avoiding of that negativism is eminently vital, because it is provably causing, as a consequence, fatal disadvantages to the Western World’s civilisation, culture and the most essential, unshakable self-confidence of power and security. Logically, in view of losing the essential strength and power Western world’s nations will become prune to be undermined successfully by alien influences and then may easily taken over by other kinds of (developing) countries and cultures! In the consequence, the future positive progress of the “Developed World” has to be built only on the successful prevention through reconnaissance.
It has to be taught already in primary school with good advice HOW TO AVOID any circumstances leading to asocial harassment towards each other and therewith future fateful crimes. In addition, all the (so called) “developed” nations’ government support is needed for founding much more and intact family-circles operated by both of the educated parents, which have been already thoroughly trained for during their entire school days of many years. In other words, Western World’s nations must working together in objective and non-competitive, but constructive cooperation only with view on the bigger, more valuable picture and in disregard of egocentric, small minded national interests mainly. In the case of JABRO’S time-critical self-portrait from 1972, the definition is, or could be, the following: Those two cast and spiritually symbolised "hand-messengers" are the, indeed, visibly realized tools used here to create an additional JABRO "Contrast-Pair" emerging from its invisible human mind as the beforehand sublimated, surreal symbols. In other words and by simplifying down, one can say that the right hand of the pregnant artist’s self-portrait is symbolically parrying off unseen spiritual/mental NEGATIVISM of past, presence and the future. Contrary to this negativism, the artist’s left, shell-like formed hand symbolises oppositional mundane/physical POSITIVISM, such as active protection and preservation, likewise humans’ realistic and liveable future and its civilised high-tech culture.
